And it is from this connection that I was able to see the similarities between Hades and The Actor.

The Entity acts in the exact same way: it tells Mark to plot his revenge against William, tells him to steal his body, gets him to amend his plan when Celine comes in, etc.

It’s because of The Fates that Eurydice abandons Orpheus to go to Hadestown, and it’s because of The Fates that Orpheus is overcome by his doubt to the point where he ends up losing Eurydice forever. In Hadestown, the real antagonists are The Fates as they are oftentimes the ones that set things in motion: they torment Eurydice and convince her to accept Hades’ offer (despite her love for Orpheus) by preying on her hunger, they plant seeds of doubt in Orpheus that they later dredge up against him, they give Hades the idea to put the outcome of Orpheus’ journey to the underworld into his own hands (who then presents it like its his own to Hermes). It was at that moment that I was able to gain a better understanding of it. His description of the Entity then immediately reminded me of how The Fates are described in Hadestown: “always singing in the back of your mind”. If you ever have the time, I highly recommend at least listening to the Original Broadway Cast recording on YouTube. For those who don’t know, Hadestown is a retelling of the Greek myths Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone the show has the two relationships act as direct parallels to one another in a very powerful and moving way with their respective relationships impacting the lives of everyone involved. My hyperfixation on the MCoU (Markiplier Connected Universe) ran along side what is a constant fixation in my mind: the music and themes of the Tony Award Winning show Hadestown.
HADESTOWN HADES FANART SERIES
Granted, the recent explanation livestream has for the most part discarded the idea that the With Markiplier series are all stories that The Actor is in control of, but given the content of DAMIEN, we can still run with the idea of them all being trapped in The Actor’s stories. Specifically, I’ve been thinking about The Actor, Celine, The DA, the Entity, and the theory of them all being trapped in stories that The Actor controls. are the current understudies of the Fates.Ever since In Space: Part One aired, I’ve been hyperfixating on the story and characters of the Markiplier Connected Universe.

In the Broadway production they are played by Jewelle Blackman, Yvette Gonzales-Nacer, and Kay Trinidad.Find this Pin and more on My drawings and watercolor paintings by Hayley Rutger. In the London national theatre production they are played by Carly Mercedes Dyer, Rosie Fletcher, and Gloria Onitiri. Fan art by me, Hayley Rutger Hadestown is a fantastic musical featuring fantastic people, including Amber Gray and Patrick Page, depicted here as Persephone and Hades. In the Edmonton production they are played by Jewelle Blackman, Kira Guloien, and.In the Off-Broadway production they are played by Lulu Fall, Jessie Shelton, and Shaina Taub.

In the concept album, they are played by the Haden Triplets. In the Vermont/Massachusetts tour the Fates are played by Sarah-Dawn Albani,.They only begin to take an interest in Orpheus after he decides to follow Eurydice into Hadestown, but still remain far more passive with him than with Eurydice. They display a particular fixation on Eurydice, frequently antagonizing and taking an almost sadistic glee in her suffering. Throughout Act 1, The Fates narrate the thoughts of Orpheus and Eurydice, specifically their doubts and fears. In Hadestown, they serve as the symbolic conscience of the main characters (Orpheus, Eurydice, and Hades in particular) and are the people who narrate what some character's thoughts are. Female The Fates (Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos) are greek goddesses who design the fates of men and the dangers that happen to them on tapestry.
